A striking mid-19th-century plate in the “Cleopatra” pattern by Francis Morley & Company of Staffordshire, England. Romantic architectural ruins and rich floral sprays decorate the central well, rendered in purple transfer and enhanced with hand-painted green, cobalt blue, and yellow enamel accents.

The reverse bears a purple “Cleopatra” backstamp within an elaborate cartouche featuring pyramids, columns, and obelisks, reflecting the pattern’s Egyptian Revival theme. A distinctive addition to a collection of Victorian transferware, beautifully suited to a plate wall or cabinet display.
