Antique Victorian Blue Transferware Octagonal Platter — Italianate Landscape, 15” × 11.5”

A romantic Italianate landscape unfolds across this beautiful Victorian blue transferware platter, featuring classical architecture, grand archways, and a tranquil river with a gondola in the foreground. A geometric zigzag border frames the scene and complements its distinctive octagonal shape.

Fine glaze crazing and warm tea staining lend timeworn character to the blue-and-white decoration. Generously sized, this English platter makes an elegant focal point on a plate wall, displayed on a mantel, or arranged along a dining room sideboard.
